Prototyping

Kenny’s Prototype Sprint #1

What I hoped to learn evolved throughout explaining and presenting my prototype from only focusing on what others thought about how my visuals and music work together to also focusing on what recognizable media and imagery could possibly be added. I also thought that it would be helpful to learn more about what sounds others would want to control for the interactive component of my project. To solicit this information, I asked questions pertaining to these topics.

From gaining feedback, I learned that there were many different opinions on how my visuals and music fit together such as the amount of visuals and video effects playing at once, and what visuals different instruments and sounds should control. Overall, the feedback was positive and the visuals successfully represented the music.

Interesting topics were brought up when discussing my prototype such as possibly putting meaning into the visuals; how other media should be implemented like funny videos and clips from movies; and what came to mind when others saw the visuals including the vaporwave aesthetic and the video game Rez Infinite.
