This\nweek I decided to focus on researching the technical side of creating a visual\nnovel. I read through the Ren\u2019py\ntutorial on their website and tried out most of the basic commands to get a\nfeel for what actually programming a visual novel will be like. For the most\npart, the commands are very self-explanatory and easy to use such as changing\nthe background and characters as well as fading in and out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most useful commands for my\nvisual novel seem to be the different types of choices because those are the essence\nof every visual novel. More specifically, the types where you turn a variable\nto true and choices that can only be selected if a certain requirement is fulfilled.\nSince I plan on having a resource that you must keep track of throughout the\nstory I most likely will be using these two types of choices a lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
