To start my research for designing a gallery website for TCNJ students I researched many portfolio websites for established artists of all mediums. I started with this because their websites are always filled with beautiful work and are always clearly presented. These websites never overly complicated and present the work in a creative yet concise manner. https://janetroyer.pixpa.com/ is a portfolio website for an abstract fine artist who shows her work very clearly without a ton of unnecessary bells and whistles. A website such as this is what I what the student page to look like. Let the work speak for itself. No need to have an over the top color scheme or other bells and whistles that are not necessary.

Further with my research I decided to see if any schools had a website similar to my idea. I found NYU graduate art program had a website in which the students’ thesis projects were displayed. While this does incorporate some of my idea it does not directly coincide. My idea has transformed into building an online art community within TCNJ and is less focused on the thesis project or work students have done in school.
